Welcome to Cowles Clinic Pediatrics, home of the Lake Area's 24-Hour Pediatrician.  Our offices are located at The Cowles Clinic in the newly built Willow Cottage.  This website will help keep you up to date with office news, events and policies.

Our Philosophy

We are here to serve the Lake Oconee community and surrounding areas, including Morgan, Greene, Putnam and Baldwin Counties.  We offer a 24-hour call service, weekend office hours, and even house calls.  It may seem old fashioned, but that's the kind of people we are, and that's the kind of care you should expect.  Our goal is to be there when you need us, and to deliver the most complete, personalized pediatric health care available!

The Latest from Dr. B: Flu Season

"Flu season is almost upon us.  Typically, we start seeing flu around late September, just after everyone gets settled into school.  So it's a good idea to get your flu vaccine now, as supplies may be limited.  Flu vaccine is recommended for all children aged 6 months to 5 years, and any older children who have chronic health concerns, such as lung or heart problems.

"We offer two types of influenza vaccines.  First, there's the old fashioned flu shot, which any child 6 months or older can get.  Our shot is mercury and thimerisol-free, like all of our vaccines.  Second, we also offer the flu vaccine as a painless nose spray, which can be given to children 2 years and older who have no history of respiratory problems (like asthma).
